Mazyar Yazdani /māz–yār Yǣz–dāni/ completed his studies in biology, focusing on toxicology. After years of working in biological and environmental sciences, he gradually transitioned to the field of medicine. This shift was in part due to his extensive work with various model systems, particularly expertise in developing advanced cell culture optimization techniques, supported by a good foundation in biology, biochemistry and chemistry. Mazyar's journey began with the eye while working alongside a group of ophthalmologists and then extended to other parts of the body when he joined a diagnostics lab. He is interested in both empirical and conceptual research.
